The recent trend towards miniaturization of projection technology indicates that handheld devices will soon have integrated nano-projectors, thus enabling new Augmented Reality based user interfaces that are currently not possible. The technology will enable its users to convert any surface into a user interface, which will eliminate traditional WIMP based user interactions. I name this technology, Mobile Projective Augmented Reality (MPAR).
